- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans and line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
- Alternately mix in dry ingredients with milk until just combined.
- Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before frosting.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add cocoa powder to the frosting.
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
