Burrata and Tomato Ciabatta Sandwich

Description

A delicious and fresh sandwich made with burrata cheese, ripe tomatoes, and fresh basil on ciabatta bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ciabatta rolls or focaccia bread
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice ciabatta rolls in half and place cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the cut sides and bake for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Layer sliced tomatoes on the bottom halves, followed by basil leaves. Tear burrata into pieces and add on top.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the top halves over the filling, press gently, cut in half, and serve warm.
