Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Lay out the bread slices on a flat surface.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each slice of bread.
- Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef mixture over 4 slices of bread.
- Top the beef with another slice of cheddar cheese.
- Place the remaining slices of bread on top to form a sandwich.
- Grill the Sandwiches:
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a bit of butter.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side. Press down gently with a spatula for even grilling.
- Serve:
- Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
- Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm.
