- 12 fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup whipped cream (or more as needed)
Instructions
- Prepare the Brownie Batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until no dry streaks remain.
- Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Assemble the Strawberry Santa Hats: Once the brownies are cooled, cut them into squares of your desired size. Place a small dollop of whipped cream in the center of each brownie square to serve as an adhesive and base for the strawberry. Place the hulled strawberry, pointed side up, onto the whipped cream. Pipe a small tip of whipped cream onto the point of each strawberry to form the hat’s pom-pom.
