Instructions
- Preheat and Prep:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until smooth.
- Shaping the Cookies:
- Roll the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the marshmallow fluff evenly over the dough.
- Carefully roll the dough into a log, starting from one end to achieve the swirl effect.
- Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Baking:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Remove from oven and cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorating:
- Dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness and a decorative effect.
- Optionally, place a mini marshmallow in the center of each cookie for extra flair.
