Description

Enjoy your decadent dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanut butter cups
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the sugar and mix until well blended. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing well. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring the batter is smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine with Peanut Butter: Microwave the peanut butter briefly to soften, then swirl it into the brownie mixture. Add chocolate chips and mix lightly to maintain a marbled effect.
  4. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups and chopped peanuts on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  6. Garnish: Top with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.

Notes

  • Swirling Effect: For a nice marbled look with the peanut butter, avoid overmixing once you’ve added it to the batter.
  • Peanut Butter Cups: Adding some between layers of the batter creates delicious pockets of flavor.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer keeping.
  • Variation: For a richer taste, consider using dark chocolate chips or adding a layer of ganache on top.
