Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt; gradually incorporate into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  5. Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
