- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (Ensure bananas are very ripe for best flavor.)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Enhances the flavor.)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional) (Add for extra crunch or flavor.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in optional ingredients like walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Once completely cooled, slice and enjoy!
