Description

A delicious recipe for ground beef gravy, perfect for serving over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 sweet onion, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef and onions in large fry pan over medium/high heat. Drain oil and return to pan.
  2. Add butter and allow it to melt, stir into beef. Sprinkle flour over the meat and stir to evenly coat. Cook for 3 minutes while stirring.
  3. Add broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to gentle boil then reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir occasionally until gravy thickens (about 5 minutes).
  4. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice.
