Description
Deliciously festive brownies decorated to look like Christmas trees, perfect for the holiday season!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 batch green buttercream frosting
- 1 batch mini star-shaped sprinkles
- 1 batch small round colored sprinkles
- 1 batch silver sugar pearls
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar until smooth.
- Mix Ingredients: Add eggs one at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the wet mixture until well combined.
- Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
- Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Cut Brownies: Once cooled, carefully cut the brownies into triangular shapes to resemble Christmas trees.
- Frosting: Use a piping bag fitted with a star or round tip to pipe green frosting onto each brownie in a zigzag pattern to create the look of a tree.
- Decorate: Add mini star-shaped sprinkles at the top of each tree and decorate with small round colored sprinkles and silver sugar pearls to resemble ornaments.
Notes
- Make Frosting Ahead: Prepare the frosting in advance and keep it chilled until ready to use to save time.
- Piping Tip: If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a plastic sandwich bag with a small hole cut from one corner.
- Add Flavors: For extra flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of mint extract to the frosting for a festive twist.
- Storage: Store decorated brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
