Enjoy your festive and delicious Christmas Tree Deviled Eggs!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • fresh parsley, chopped finely
  • for garnish paprika
  • yellow cheese slices, cut into small stars
  • optional green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Transfer eggs to cold water to cool.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Set the whites aside.
  3. Mix the Filling: Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and white vinegar to the yolks. Mash together until smooth. Add a small amount of green food coloring to achieve a festive hue. Mix in salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Assemble the Trees: Fill a piping bag with the yolk mixture and pipe it into the egg whites, creating a tree shape with a pointed top.
  5. Decorate: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the deviled eggs to mimic tree leaves and top each with a cheese star. Lightly dust with paprika for a festive touch.

Notes

  • Use a star-shaped cutter for uniform cheese stars.
  • Experiment with different herbs for flavor variations.
  • For a creamier texture, add a little bit of cream cheese to the yolk mixture.
  • Ensure the piping tip is wide enough for smooth application.
