- 2 racks pork ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Rinse and pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- Make the Spice Rub:
- In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Bake the Ribs:
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Make the Glaze:
- In a saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, honey, and soy sauce.
- Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Grill the Ribs:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove ribs from the oven and brush generously with the glaze.
- Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5-10 minutes on each side, brushing with more glaze, until they are slightly charred.
- Serve:
- Transfer ribs to a cutting board and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Cut between the bones to separate the ribs.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.
Notes
- To ensure more flavor, marinate the ribs with the spice rub overnight.
- Adjust the level of sweetness and heat in the glaze according to your taste by varying the amount of honey and smoked paprika.
- For an extra layer of flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the glaze.
