Description

Delicious and tender glazed barbecue pork ribs that are perfect for any gathering. The combination of sweet honey and savory soy sauce creates an irresistible glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks pork ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ribs:
    • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
    • Rinse and pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Make the Spice Rub:
    • In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
    • Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  3. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. Bake the Ribs:
    • Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
    • Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  5. Make the Glaze:
    • In a saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, honey, and soy sauce.
    • Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Grill the Ribs:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
    • Remove ribs from the oven and brush generously with the glaze.
    • Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5-10 minutes on each side, brushing with more glaze, until they are slightly charred.
  7. Serve:
    • Transfer ribs to a cutting board and let them rest for a few minutes.
    • Cut between the bones to separate the ribs.
    • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.

Notes

  • To ensure more flavor, marinate the ribs with the spice rub overnight.
  • Adjust the level of sweetness and heat in the glaze according to your taste by varying the amount of honey and smoked paprika.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the glaze.
