Description

A simple recipe for making homemade chocolate with organic ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Butter (113g) (this is the organic brand we use)
  • 1/3 Cup Cacao Powder (58g)
  • 2 Tbs Honey
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. In a glass bowl, melt cocoa butter (double boiler works best). Remove from heat and stir with a spoon or spatula for 2 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a room temperature glass bowl. Stir for 2 minutes or until mixture is 90°.
  3. Add cacao and honey. Stir well.
  4. Add vanilla extract and stir with a whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour into chocolate mold and allow to sit at room temperature until hardened.
  6. Remove chocolate from mold and store at room temperature for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • Make sure the cocoa butter is completely melted before adding other ingredients for best results.
  • Store chocolate in a cool, dry place to maintain its texture and flavor.
