Description

Delicious and moist pumpkin donuts coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 tbsp ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, salt, and sugars until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before tossing in cinnamon sugar coating.
