A delicious and creamy chicken casserole topped with buttery Ritz cracker crumbs.
Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 sleeve (about 30) Ritz crackers, crushed
- ½ cup melted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and ¾ cup of cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ¾ cup of cheddar cheese on top.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter until fully coated.
- Sprinkle the cracker topping evenly over the casserole.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
