A delicious sweet potato casserole perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes (about 2 lbs), peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Arrange half of the sweet potato slices in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until smooth. Pour half over the sweet potatoes.
- Layer the remaining sweet potatoes and top with the rest of the creamy mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes or until tender.
- Remove foil, sprinkle pecans on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
- Substitute nuts as desired.
